He is very hard to know by seeing with the eyes, and he cannot be known by thinking with the mind: he is the Lord who stands within as the Gurunathan and shows the way. He is so far off that he cannot be touched from outside or held on to, and he is the one who appears within as nada. To the devotees who lie in longing, wanting him and nothing else, he comes as the form of love that is the flame within the lamp inside them. When one receives the divine grace of such a Lord and lies in it, every kind of impurity within the devotee departs, and that grace is itself the way by which it goes.

By the help of the knowledge the Lord makes known from within, devotees come to know for themselves both their own deeds and the ways by which those deeds are removed. After that, the Lord who is the Gurunathan within them knows that they abide by the bounds their own understanding has set for itself. As their deeds perish through living within those bounds, a great love comes forth from within them. By that great love for the Lord who is head of all things, the feeling of a mind that melts to the point of melting the body itself is truly realized; and after that, the Lord who is the Gurunathan and the head of all the celestial beings will be their companion, like honey that never cloys however much of it is drunk.

No one knows the measure to which the grace of God pervades all the moving and unmoving worlds and every act of worldly life. Those who do not taste that grace want to drink only the nectar that can be had through it alone.
As said in verse 1801, by his grace, which is the great compassion God holds towards me, he set me in family attachment. After that attachment had been lived through to its end, he made me let go of desire. He gave the state of release that lacks nothing in the great love welling up in the heart, and joined his own grace to me. By that joining of grace, the still state in which there is no attachment and no desire, and in which no thoughts arise, is itself the great grace.

As said in verse 1810, the imperishable supreme being, in which everything is one, itself stands as everything. That divine power abides fitted within all the souls it creates in its own likeness, as the power of life inside them. It is itself also all the bodies in which those souls are not. From the taking of birth until the body is left and another taken it is the companion of the soul, and after the life has gone, until the body becomes earth in the earth, it is the companion of the body, and it is a companion that never parts. This is the great sacred play of God, the play that is called great love.

That divine power abides fitted within all the souls it creates in its own likeness, as the power of life inside them.
It is itself also all the bodies in which those souls are not, and it is the companion that never parts, of the soul from the taking of birth until it leaves the body and takes another, and of the body after the life has gone until it becomes earth in the earth.
This is the great sacred play of God, the play that is called great love.
Verse 1812 — meaning
As said in verse 1811, the divine power which is the supreme being, carrying no stain of any kind, standing as the great love that plays, is seated also as the sound that works from within the pure maya joined as one with it. Fitting itself in many ways to the souls that parted from that pure maya and came into bodies, and seated also as the light of great knowing which never perishes, it has grown out as the souls that live in all the worlds of the moving and unmoving creation.

The divine power that stands in great love and carries no stain of any kind is the supreme being itself.
It is seated as the sound that works from within the pure maya which is joined as one with it.
It is seated fitted in many ways to the souls that parted from that pure maya and came into bodies.
Seated also as the light of great knowing which never perishes, it has grown out as the souls that live in all the worlds of the moving and unmoving creation.
Verse 1813 — meaning
As said in verse 1812, the light of great knowing which is the supreme being, grown out as the souls that live in all the worlds of the moving and unmoving creation, fills that whole creation. That divine power which is the supreme being has spread and stretched itself through maya, which stands apart as a thing of its own, through the great maya that is higher than it, through the Veda of mantras which rises up by divine grace from within the gods, who are one kind among the beings of the heavens, for the sake of the worldly acts of souls, and through the immeasurably vast worlds.
