கண்களால் பார்த்து அறிந்துகொள்ளுவதற்கு மிகவும் கடினமானவன், எண்ணங்களால் யோசித்துப் பார்த்து அறிந்துகொள்ள முடியாதவன், உள்ளுக்குள் குருநாதனாக இருந்து வழிகாட்டுகின்ற இறைவன். வெளியில் தீண்டிப் பார்ப்பதற்கும் பற்றிக்கொண்டிருப்பதற்கும் முடியாதபடி தொலைவில் இருக்கின்றவன், உள்ளுக்குள்ளே நாதமாகத் தோன்றுபவன். அவன் மட்டுமே வேண்டும் என்று வேண்டிக் கிடக்கின்ற அடியவர்களுக்கு, உள்ளுக்குள் விளக்கில் இருக்கின்ற ஜோதியாகிய அன்பின் வடிவமாக வருகின்றவன். இப்படிப்பட்ட இறைவனின் திருவருளைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டு அதிலேயே கிடக்கும்போது, அடியவரின் உள்ளுக்குள் இருக்கின்ற அனைத்து விதமான மலங்களும் நீங்கிப் போய்விடும்; அந்தத் திருவருளே அதற்கான வழியாகவும் இருக்கும்.
He is very hard to know by seeing with the eyes, and he cannot be known by thinking with the mind: he is the Lord who stands within as the Gurunathan and shows the way. He is so far off that he cannot be touched from outside or held on to, and he is the one who appears within as nada. To the devotees who lie in longing, wanting him and nothing else, he comes as the form of love that is the flame within the lamp inside them. When one receives the divine grace of such a Lord and lies in it, every kind of impurity within the devotee departs, and that grace is itself the way by which it goes.
