7. அருளுடைமையின் ஞானம் வருதல்

அனைத்திற்கும் தலைவனாகிய இறைவனின் திருவருள் ஒருவருக்கு இருக்கின்றது என்றால், அவருக்குத் தருமத்தினால் வருகின்ற அனைத்து விதமான செல்வங்களும் கிடைக்கும்.

If the grace of God who is lord of all is with someone, all the kinds of wealth that come through dharma will be theirs.

இறைவனின் திருவருள் ஒருவருக்கு இருக்கின்றது என்றால், உண்மை அறிவாகிய பேரறிவு ஞானமும் அவருக்குக் கிடைக்கும்.

If the grace of God is with someone, the great wisdom that is true knowing will be theirs as well.

இறைவனின் திருவருளில் ஞானம் கிடைக்கப் பெற்ற அவருக்கு, இந்தப் பிறவியிலேயே மாபெரும் இறைத் தன்மையும் கிடைக்கும்.

To the one who has received wisdom in the grace of God, the great nature of God itself comes in this very birth.

அதன் பிறகு, பிறவி இல்லாத நிலையில், இறைவனின் திருவருளால் மாபெரும் தெய்வமாகவே அவரும் ஆகிவிடுவார்.

And after that, in the state where there is no more birth, by his grace that one too becomes the great deity.

ஆதி மொழியாகிய தமிழிலிருந்து உருவாகியிருக்கின்ற அனைத்து மொழிகளின் மூலமும், ஐந்து விதமான பூதங்களால் ஆகிய அனைத்துப் பொருள்களின் மூலமும், அறிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டிய ஞானத்தையெல்லாம் அறிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டும் என்று,

Seeking to come to know all the knowledge that is to be known through every language that has arisen from Tamil the first tongue, and through all the things made of the five elements,

நிலத்தை உழுது பண்படுத்திப் பயிர் வளர்ப்பது போலவே உலகத்தில் உள்ளவர்கள் அலைந்து திரிந்து முயற்சி செய்கிறார்கள்.

people of the world wander and strive, as though ploughing and preparing the ground and raising a crop.

ஆனால், உலகத்தில் உள்ள ஆசைகளும் பற்றுக்களும் வேண்டாம் என்று அனைத்தையும் விட்டு விலகி இருக்கின்ற மனமானது, எமது ஆதி முதல்வனாகிய இறைவனின் அறிவு வடிவத்தைப் பெறும்.

But the mind that stands apart from everything, wanting neither the desires nor the attachments of the world, takes on the very form of the knowing of our primal first one, God.

அவனது திருவருளால், அனைத்து மொழிகளினாலும் உலகத்தில் உள்ள அனைத்துப் பொருள்களினாலும் அறியக்கூடிய அனைத்து விதமான ஞானத்தையும் அது ஒருவருக்குக் கொடுத்துவிடும்.

And by his grace that mind gives a person all the knowledge that could be known through all languages and through all the things there are in the world.

புண்ணியம், பாவம் என்று இரண்டு விதமான வினைகளும், அவற்றின் பயன்களுமே இந்த உலகத்தில் இருக்கின்றன.

There are two kinds of deed in this world, merit and sin, and there are the fruits of them.

இறைவனின் திருவருள் கிடைக்கும் பொழுது, அவற்றைச் சில ஞானிகள் அறிந்துகொள்வார்கள்.

When the grace of God comes, some among the wise come to know them.

அவ்வாறு அறிந்த பிறகு, அவற்றை நினைத்துப் பார்த்து, அந்த இரண்டு வினைகளையுமே வேரோடு அறுத்தெடுத்துத் தம்மை விட்டு அப்புறப்படுத்திவிட்டால்,

And once they have known them, if they consider them and cut both deeds out by the root and put them away from themselves,

அனைத்திற்கும் தலைவனாகிய இறைவன் இருக்கின்ற இடம் தமக்குள்ளேயே இருப்பதை ஆராய்ந்து அறிந்துகொள்வார்கள்.

then they will search and find that the place where God the lord of all dwells is within themselves.

ஆதியிலிருந்தே நின்று அருளுகின்ற இறைவன், ஒருவருக்கு வினை முடிகின்ற காலத்தில் நன்மையாக நின்று அருளுகின்றான்.

God, who has stood and given his grace from the beginning, stands as the good and gives his grace at the time when a person's deeds come to an end.

உலகில் உள்ள அனைத்து உயிர்களுக்கும் உள்ளே உயிருக்கு உயிராக நிற்கின்றவனும் அவனே.

He is the one who stands within all the lives of the world as the life of their life.

தமது அருளை வழங்கிய பின்பும் அடியவருடனேயே நின்று, அவர் அருள் நிலையிலிருந்து விலகிவிடாமல் பாதுகாத்து அருளுகின்றான்; அந்த அருளினால் இனி வரக்கூடிய பிறவிகளையும் நீக்கிவிடுகின்றான்.

He stays with the devotee even after he has granted his grace, guarding him so that he never falls away from the state of grace, and by that grace he removes the births that would otherwise still come.

அத்தகைய இறைவன் எமக்கு உள்ளே நின்று, எமக்கு ஒரு பேரின்பமான முக்தியைத் தந்து அருளினானே.

Such a God stood within me and granted me a release of great bliss.

இறைவனது திருவருளைச் சரியாகப் பயன்படுத்தி மேன்மையடைந்த சிலர், வானுலகத்துத் தேவர்களாகவும் ஆவார்கள்.

Some, having rightly used the grace of God and risen high by it, become the celestials of the world above.

இறைவனது திருவருளைச் சரியாகப் பயன்படுத்தி மேன்மையடைந்த சிலர், தெய்வங்களுக்குச் சரிசமமாக விளங்குவார்கள்.

Some, having rightly used the grace of God and risen high by it, stand equal to the deities.

இறைவனது திருவருளினால், இனி எந்த விதமான வினையும் வந்து சேர்ந்துவிடாத தன்மையை அடைந்தவர்கள் இருக்கின்றார்கள்.

And there are those who by his grace have reached the state where no deed of any kind can come and attach itself to them any more.

அவர்கள் தாம் பெற்ற இறைவனது திருவருளை எடுத்துக் கூறினால், அதுவே சிவலோகமாகவும் இருக்கின்றது.

When they speak out the grace of God they have received, that speaking is itself the world of Siva.

புண்ணியமே வடிவாகிய எமது தந்தையும் புனிதனுமாகிய இறைவனின் இணையில்லாத திருவடிகளை,

The incomparable feet of God, our father and the pure one, who is merit itself in form,

தேடி அடைந்து, உண்மை ஞானத்தை எமக்கு விளக்குங்கள் தந்தையே என்று கேட்டுக்கொள்ள, அவரது திருவருளால் ஞானம் எமக்குள் விளைந்தது.

I searched for and reached, and I asked him, father, explain true wisdom to me; and by his grace wisdom grew within me.

தெய்வங்களுக்குச் சரிசமமாக உலகத்திலேயே இருக்கின்ற அமரர்கள் ஆவதும், வானுலகத்திற்குச் சென்று தேவர்கள் ஆவதும்,

Becoming one of the deathless ones who stand equal to the deities here in this world, and going to the world above and becoming one of the celestials,

அனைத்திற்கும் தலைவனாகிய இறைவனின் திருவருளால் ஞானம் விளைந்தபோதே முடியும்.

are both possible at that very moment when wisdom grows by the grace of God the lord of all.

உயிர்கள் நிலையில்லாத தமது உடலை, இறப்பு இல்லாத நிலை பெற்ற உயர்ந்த தேராக மாற்றி அதில் ஏறிச் செல்வதற்கு, மனமாகிய பாகனின் கையில் ஐம்புலன்களும் அவன் வசப்படும்படிச் செய்ய வேண்டும்.

For a soul to turn its own impermanent body into a high chariot that has gained the state without death, and to mount it and travel, the five senses must be brought under the control of the mind, which is the charioteer, and placed in his hands.

அவ்வாறு செய்தால், மாயையின் மயக்கத்திலிருந்து நீங்கி, உண்மை அறிவாகிய தேரில் ஏறி, மாயையினால் மயங்குகின்ற மனத்தை மாற்றி உண்மையை உணர வைக்கலாம்.

If that is done, one leaves the bewilderment of illusion, mounts the chariot that is true knowing, and can turn the mind bewildered by illusion so that it realizes the truth.

அதன் பிறகு, அன்பு என்கின்ற நிலையிலிருந்து பேரன்பாகவே மாறுகின்ற தேரில் ஏறினால், ஒரு குற்றமும் இல்லாத இறைவனின் திருவருளைப் பெற்றுவிடலாம்.

After that, if one mounts the chariot on which love itself changes into the greatest love, one may receive the grace of God in whom there is no flaw at all.

அப்போது, பொன்னாகவே மாறிவிட்ட தங்களின் உடலாகிய பிரகாசமான தேரில் ஏறினால், இறைவனே தாம் எனும் நிலையை அடையலாம்.

And then, mounting the shining chariot that is one's own body now turned to gold, one may reach the state in which God himself is oneself.

இறைவனை அடைய வேண்டும் என்கின்ற எண்ணத்தோடு எந்த உலகத்தில் பிறவி எடுத்தாலும், அந்த உலகத்திற்கு ஏற்ற உடம்போடு பிறப்பார்கள்.

Whatever world they take birth in, if they are born with the thought that they must reach God, they are born with a body suited to that world.

அவர்கள் இருக்கின்ற உலகத்திலேயே, செய்வதற்கு மிகவும் அரியதான தவங்களைத் தேடி அடைந்து செய்கின்ற தவசிகளாக இருப்பார்கள்.

In the very world they are in, they become ascetics who seek out and take up austerities that are very hard to perform.

அவர்கள் இருக்கின்ற உலகத்திலேயே இறைவனின் திருவடியைச் சேர்ந்திருப்பார்கள்.

In the very world they are in, they join the feet of God.

அவர்கள் இருக்கின்ற உலகத்திலேயே இறைவனது திருவருளையும் பெற்றுவிடுவார்கள்.

And in the very world they are in, they receive his grace as well.

இறையருள் பெற்று, பொன் போன்ற பிரகாசமான உடலைக் கொண்டு, தங்களை நோக்கி மற்றவர்களையும் ஈர்க்கின்ற ஞானிகள், வெப்பத்தின் வடிவமாக இருக்கின்றார்கள்.

The wise who have received divine grace, who bear a shining body like gold and who draw others towards themselves, are heat in form.

இறையருளால் உண்மை ஞானத்தைக் கண்டுகொண்டு மற்றவர்களை ஈர்க்கின்ற ஞானிகள், இரசமணியின் நீரால் இரும்பையும் தங்கமாக்குவது போலத் தங்களை நாடி வந்தவர்களுக்கும் ஞானத்தைத் தருகின்ற ஞான வடிவமாக இருக்கின்றார்கள்.

The wise who by divine grace have seen true wisdom and who draw others are wisdom in form, giving wisdom to those who come seeking them, in the way that the water of the alchemist's stone turns even iron into gold.

தம்மைச் சரணடைந்த அடியவர்களின் வினைகளை எப்படி அழிக்க வேண்டும் என்கின்ற சூழ்ச்சியைக் கொண்டு, அவற்றைத் தாக்கி எரித்து நெருப்பின் வடிவமாக ஆக்கிவிடுகின்றான்.

Holding the design of how the deeds of the devotees who take refuge in him are to be destroyed, he strikes those deeds and burns them and makes them into the form of fire.

அதுவே, தமது இடது திருக்கரத்தில் நெருப்புச் சட்டியைக் கொண்டிருக்கின்ற இறைவனின் பேரழகு வடிவத்தின் தத்துவம் ஆகும்.

That is the philosophy of the beautiful form of God, who bears the vessel of fire in his left hand.

எண்ணத்தில் அன்பைக் கலந்து, எங்களின் குருநாதனாகிய இறைவனைத் தேடிக்கொண்டே இருப்பேன்.

Mingling love into my thought, I will go on searching for God, who is our guru.

தேடி அடையும்போது, அவனே அனைத்திற்கும் மேலான சிவப் பரம்பொருள் என்று அறிந்துகொள்வேன்.

When I search and reach him, I will know him as the supreme reality of Siva who is above all.

அவனோடு சேர்ந்துகொள்வேன்; அப்போது அவனது திருவருளும் என்னோடு சேர்ந்துகொள்ள, அவனுடைய பேரழகு வாய்ந்த திருவடிக்கே சென்றுவிட வேண்டும் என்று உறுதியாகப் பற்றிக்கொள்வேன்.

I will join with him; and as his grace joins with me, I will hold fast to the resolve that I must go to his feet of great beauty.

அவனோடு இரண்டறக் கலக்கின்ற காலம் வரும் வரையில், அவனுடைய திருவடிகளை விட்டுவிட மாட்டேன்.

And until the time comes when I mingle with him without remainder, I will not let go of his feet.
