3. ஞாதுரு ஞான ஞேயம்

திருவடிப் பேற்றைப் பெற்ற அடியவர்கள், சிவப் பரம்பொருளின் பேரானந்தத்திலிருந்து நீங்காமல், தூய்மையான அன்பிலே நின்று இருப்பார்கள்.

The devotees who have received the gift of the sacred feet stand in the supreme joy of Siva, never departing from it, and stand there in pure love.

அப்படி நிற்கின்ற பாவனையை விட்டுவிடாமல் இருக்கும்போது பாசத் தளைகள் அவர்களை மூடிவிடாமல் இருக்கும்; பிறகு உலக நன்மைக்காகச் செயல்கள் செய்யும்போது பாசம் வந்தால்கூட,

While they do not let go of that stance, the bonds of attachment do not close over them; and afterwards, when they act for the good of the world, even if attachment comes to them,

நான் என்கின்ற அகங்காரம் நீங்கிவிட்டதனால், பாசத் தளைகளால் மறுபடியும் மாயையில் மூழ்கிவிடாத நிலையிலேயே அவர்கள் நிலைத்து நிற்பார்கள்.

the ego that says I has gone from them, and so they stand firm in the state in which the bonds cannot sink them into illusion again.

அப்போது, எப்போதும் நீங்காத சமாதி நிலையில் அமிழ்தத்தைப் பருகிக்கொண்டே பேரின்பத்தில் திளைத்து நிற்கின்ற நிலையை அவர்களால் பெற முடியும்.

Then they are able to gain the state in which, in a samadhi that never leaves them, they drink the nectar and abide steeped in supreme bliss.

ஞானத்தினால் பார்க்கப்படுகின்ற ஆன்மாவைச் சிவப் பரம்பொருளாக உணர்ந்து நின்றவர்களுக்கு, தாமே சிவம் என்பதை உணர்கின்ற அந்த ஞானத்தை ஆராய்கின்ற அறிவு நீங்கிவிடும்.

For those who stand having realized that the soul, which is what wisdom sees, is the supreme reality Siva, the intellect that examines that very wisdom by which one realizes that one is oneself Siva falls away.

ஞானத்தினால் பார்க்கப்படுகின்ற ஆன்மாவில் சிவப் பரம்பொருளைப் பார்க்கின்ற உருவமே, பார்க்கப்படுகின்ற அந்தப் பரம்பொருளில் முக்தி நிலை ஆகும்.

The form that sees the supreme reality Siva within the soul seen by wisdom is itself the state of liberation in that supreme reality which is seen.

ஞானத்தினால் பார்க்கப்படுகின்ற ஆன்மாவாக உள்ள சிவப் பரம்பொருளில், பரம்பொருளாக இருக்கின்ற பரமாத்மாவோடு சேர்ந்திருக்கின்றவர்கள் ஒரு கூட்டமாக உள்ளனர்.

In the supreme reality Siva that stands as the soul seen by wisdom, there is a company of those who are joined with the supreme self.

அத்தகைய அடியவர் கூட்டத்துடன் தாமும் சேர்ந்து நிற்கின்ற அறிவை அவர்கள் அறிந்துகொள்ளுவார்கள்.

They will come to know the wisdom by which they too stand joined with that company of devotees.

தான் என்று தனியாகவும் இறைவன் என்று தனியாகவும் இரண்டு விதமாகப் பிரித்து வைத்துப் பார்க்கின்ற தத்துவம் ஒன்று உண்டு.

There is a principle that keeps the self apart and God apart and sees them as two separate things.

அத்தத்துவம், தான் என்று எண்ணப்படுகின்ற பொருளையும் இறைவன் என்று எண்ணப்படுகின்ற பொருளையும் ஆகிய இரண்டையும் தமக்குள்ளேயே கண்டு உணர்கின்றது.

That principle comes, within one's own self, to see and realize both the thing thought of as the self and the thing thought of as God.

தான் என்று எண்ணப்படுகின்ற பொருளாகிய ஆன்மாவை ஒரு பூவாகப் பாவித்து, தமக்குள் இருக்கின்ற இறைவனுடைய திருவடிகளில் அதைச் சாத்தி வணங்கித் தொழுதால்,

If one takes the soul, which is the thing thought of as the self, for a flower, and lays it at the sacred feet of the God who is within oneself, and worships there,

அடியவர் நான் என்று எதை எண்ணுகின்றாரோ அதுவே இறைவன் என்று உணர்வதே நல்லது என்பதை அன்றிலிருந்தே அவர் உணர்ந்துகொள்ளுவார்.

then from that very day the devotee will realize that the good thing is to know that whatever he thinks of as I is God himself.

பிறவி எடுக்கும்போது உடலில் இறைவன் வைத்து அருளிய முப்பத்தாறு தத்துவங்களையும் உடலிலிருந்து நீக்கி வைத்தான்.

He took away from the body the thirty-six principles that God himself had graciously placed in it at birth.

அனைத்திற்கும் மேலான பொருள் என்று வியக்கத் தகுந்த பரம்பொருளாகிய அவன், தன்னைப் போலவே அனைத்திலும் வியாபித்து இருக்கின்ற மேலான நிலைக்கு என்னைக் கொண்டு வந்தான்.

Being the supreme reality at which one wonders as the thing above all, he brought me up to the high state in which one pervades everything as he himself does.

உறுதியாக என்னைச் சிவப் பரம்பொருளாகவே ஆக்கி, அளவில்லாத தம்முடைய அன்பினால்,

He made me firmly into the supreme reality Siva, and by his own boundless love,

இனிப் பிறவி எடுத்துவிடுவோமோ என்கின்ற எனது பயத்தை நீக்கி, என்னைத் தமது அடிமையாக ஆக்கி ஆட்கொண்டு அருளினார், குருநாதராக வந்த இறைவன்.

he took away my fear that I might take birth again, made me his own servant and took me into his keeping, the Lord who came as my guru.

இறைவனே குருவாக வருவதற்கு முன்பு, அவனை அறிகின்ற அறிவை அறியாமல் பந்த பாசங்களில் சிக்கி மாயையிலேயே உழன்றுகொண்டிருக்கின்ற இந்த உலகத்தாரைப் போலவே யானும் இருந்தேன்.

Before God himself came as my guru, I too was like the people of this world who, not knowing the knowledge by which he is known, are caught in bonds and attachments and turn about in illusion alone.

என்னைத் தடுத்து ஆட்கொள்வதற்காக இறைவனே குருவாக வந்த பிறகு, அவனை அறிந்திருக்கின்ற ஞானத்தையும் அவனை அறியாமல் இருக்கின்ற அறியாமையையும் பிரித்துக் காட்டி அருளினான்.

After God himself came as my guru in order to stop me and take me into his keeping, he graciously separated out for me the wisdom that knows him from the ignorance that does not.

அதன் பிறகு, எனக்குள் இருக்கும் இறைவனை அறிந்துகொள்ளும்படி செய்து, அவரைப் போலவே என்னையும் பரம்பொருளாக ஆக்கினான்.

After that he made me know the God who is within me, and made me too into the supreme reality just as he is.

தமது சிவத் தன்மையை யானும் அறிந்துகொள்ளும்படி செய்து என்னுடன் வீற்றிருந்தார், குருநாதராக வந்த இறைவன்.

He made me know his own nature as Siva and remained seated with me, the Lord who came as my guru.

இதுவரை இறைவனைக் கண்டு அறியாத ஊனக் கண்ணை மாற்றி அவனைக் காண வைக்கின்ற ஞானக் கண்ணையும், இறைவன் என்று ஒருவர் இருப்பதையே அறியாமல் இருக்கின்ற நிலையை மாற்றுகின்ற அறிவையும் அவன் அருளினான்.

He changed the eye of flesh that had never seen God into the eye of wisdom that makes him seen, and gave the knowledge that ends the condition of not even knowing that there is one called God.

தன்னுடைய நிலையிலிருந்து எப்போதும் மாறாத ஞானத்தையும், இறைவனோடு தாம் சேர்ந்திருக்கின்றோம் என்பதையே அறியாமல் இருந்த எண்ணத்தை மாற்றி அவனோடு சேர்ந்திருப்பதையும் அருளினான்.

He gave the wisdom that never moves from its own place, and changed the thought that did not know that we are joined with God into the very being joined with him.

இறைவனைப் பற்றிக்கொள்ளாமல் உலகப் பற்றுக்களிலேயே இருந்த மனதை மாற்றி இறைவனைப் பற்றிக்கொள்வதையும், நாதத்தின் எல்லையாக இருக்கின்ற ஞானத்தையும் அருளினான்.

He changed the mind that held to the world's attachments and not to God into the holding to God, and gave the wisdom that stands at the far end of sound.

இவற்றை இதுவரை அறியாமல் இருக்கின்றாய் என்று கருணையோடு வந்து, என்னைத் தடுத்து ஆட்கொண்டு காட்டி அறிய வைத்தான், குருநாதனாக வந்த இறைவன்.

Saying that until then I had known none of these, he came in compassion, stopped me and took me into his keeping, and showed them to me and made me know them, the Lord who came as my guru.

பேச்சுகளும் எண்ணங்களும் அற்ற மோன நிலை கைகூடும்படி அடைந்தவர்களுக்கு முக்தி நிலையும் கைகூடும்.

For those who have attained the silent state in which speech and thought have ceased, the state of liberation also comes into their hands.

அந்த மோன நிலை கைகூடியவர்களுக்கு அனைத்து விதமான சித்திகளும் அவர்களுக்குள் நிலைத்து நிற்கும்.

For those in whose hands that silent state has come, every kind of attainment stands firm within them.

மோன நிலை கைகூடியவர்களை விட்டு, உடல் அசைவுகளால் பேசுகின்ற மொழிகூட முழுவதும் நீங்கிவிடுவதை அவர்கள் காணலாம்.

They may see that even the speech made by the movements of the body leaves entirely those in whose hands the silent state has come.

மோன நிலை கைகூடியவர்களால், உலகத்தில் இறைவன் செய்கின்ற ஐந்து விதமான தொழில்களையும் தமக்குள்ளேயே உணர முடியும்.

Those in whose hands the silent state has come are able to realize within themselves the five kinds of work that God performs in the world.

மூன்று திரைகளாகிய மாயையால் மூடப்பட்டிருக்கின்ற, பார்க்கின்றவன், பார்க்கின்ற ஞானம், பார்க்கப்படுகின்ற பொருள் ஆகிய மூன்றையும் மூடியிருக்கின்ற அந்த மாயை முடிந்துவிடுகின்றது.

The illusion of the three veils, which covers over the one who sees, the wisdom that sees and the thing that is seen, comes to its end.

இடகலை, பிங்கலை, சுழுமுனை ஆகிய மூன்று நாடிகளின் வழியே இறைவன் பிறக்கும்போதே இயல்பாக வைத்து அருளிய மூச்சுக்காற்றின் போக்குவரத்து, அதன் இயல்பான கீழ் நிலையிலிருந்து மாறி மேல்நோக்கிச் செல்கின்றது.

The coming and going of the breath, which God placed by nature in the three channels ida, pingala and sushumna at the moment of birth, turns from its natural downward course and moves upward.

அத்தவத்தில் முழுமை பெற்ற நிலையில், சாதகரோடு ஒன்றி இருக்கின்ற குருநாதராகிய இறைவனுடைய திருவடிகளைப் பெறுகின்றார்கள்.

Having come to fullness in that tapas, they receive the sacred feet of the Lord who is the guru and who is one with the seeker.

பிறவிக்குக் காரணமாகிய மூன்று மலங்களையும் அவற்றைச் சார்ந்த அனைத்துப் பற்றுக்களையும் அறுத்துவிட்டவர்கள், இனிப் பிறக்கவோ இறக்கவோ மாட்டார்கள்.

Those who have cut away the three taints that cause birth and every attachment that belongs to them will not be born again nor die again.

அனைத்திற்கும் மேலே இருக்கின்ற இறைவனுடைய சொரூபங்களாகிய பார்க்கின்றவன், பார்க்கின்ற ஞானம், பார்க்கப்படுகின்ற பொருள் ஆகிய மூன்று தத்துவங்களுக்கும் மேலான சக்தியாக இறைவன் இருக்கின்றான்.

God is the power standing above the three principles that are his own forms above all things: the one who sees, the wisdom that sees and the thing that is seen.

அவன் தம்முடைய திருவருளால், அந்த மூன்று திரைகளையும் தெரிந்துகொள்ளும் பரம்பொருளின் பேரறிவாகிய ஞானத்தைச் சாதகருக்கு அருளுவான்.

By his own grace he grants the seeker the great knowing of the supreme reality by which those three veils are known.

அந்த ஞானத்தின் மூலம், தமக்குள் ஆனந்த வடிவாக இருக்கின்ற சிவப் பரம்பொருளைப் பார்த்து உணர்ந்து, பார்க்கப்படுகின்ற பொருள் என்றும் பார்க்கின்றவன் என்றும் தனித்தனியாகப் பிரிந்திருக்கின்ற நிலை இல்லாமல் போகும்.

Through that wisdom the seeker sees and realizes the supreme reality Siva within him in the form of bliss, and the state in which the thing seen and the one who sees are held apart comes to an end.

அனைத்திற்கும் மூலமாகிய இறைவனுடைய சொரூபமாக இருக்கின்ற அந்தப் பொருள், பார்க்கின்றவனாக இருக்கின்ற தாமே என்பதை அவர்கள் உணர்ந்துகொள்ளுவார்கள்.

They realize that the thing which is the very form of the God who is the source of all is themselves, the one who sees.
