6. கிரியை

பத்து விதமான திசைகளுக்கும் பரம்பொருளாக ஒரு தெய்வம் இருக்கிறது.

There is one God, the supreme reality of all ten directions;

தூய்மையான தாமரை மலர் போன்ற திருவடிகளைக் கொண்ட அவனைப் போற்ற இயலாதவர் என எவருமில்லை.

there is no one unable to praise him, whose sacred feet are like a pure lotus;

அந்தத் திருவடிகளின் அமைதியையும் குளிர்ச்சியையும் தரும் நிழலே சரணாகதி என்று சரணடைந்தால்,

if one takes refuge saying that the cool, peaceful shade of those feet is one's refuge,

தத்தளிக்கும் வினைகளால் சூழ்ந்த கடல் போன்ற இந்த உலக வாழ்க்கையைச் சாராமல், அந்த இறை சக்தியைத் தமக்குள் தரிசிக்கலாம்.

one may behold that divine power within, without depending on this sea of tossing deeds.

காட்டில் இருக்கும் மரங்களை ஊடுருவிச் சென்று கோடி காத தூரம் நறுமணம் கமழும் சந்தனத்தைப் பூசி வழிபட்டாலும்,

Even smearing sandal fragrant enough to pass through the forest's trees and spread a million miles,

வானத்தை எட்டும் அளவிற்குப் பெரிய மலர் மாலை சூட்டி வழிபட்டாலும், அது போதாது.

or worshipping with a flower garland large enough to reach into the sky,

தான் எனும் எண்ணத்தையும் உடல் சார்ந்த பற்றுக்களையும் நீக்கி இறைவனை உணர்பவர்களால் மட்டுமே,

is not enough; only those who remove the thought of self and bodily attachment and realize God

தேன் பொருந்திய, மென்மையான பூப் போன்ற அவனது திருவடிகளைச் சென்று சேர முடியும்; இந்தப் பெரும் பேறு வேறு யாருக்கும் கிடைக்காது.

can go and reach his sacred feet, honeyed and soft as a flower, a fortune no one else attains.

நேர்வழியில் செல்ல முடியாமல் வினைகளால் அலைக்கழிக்கப்பட்டு விதிவழியே செல்லும் பிள்ளைகளாக இருந்தாலும், ஒலி பொருந்திய சிலம்புகள் அணிந்த இறைவனின் திருவடிகளைப் போற்றி வணங்கிக்கொண்டே இருக்கிறார்கள்.

Even children buffeted by deeds and driven along the path of fate keep praising the sounding-ankleted feet of God;

அவனது அருளால் ஞானம் பெற்ற பிள்ளைகளாக ஆகி, தமக்கு நடுவே இருந்து அமிழ்தம் சுரக்கும்படி பெறுகிறார்கள்.

and by his grace they become children of wisdom, given nectar that wells up from within them;

அந்த அமிழ்தத்தை அருந்திக்கொண்டிருப்பவர்களை, வானத்தில் இருக்கும் தேவர்கள் கூடச் சென்று கைகூப்பித் தொழுகிறார்கள்.

drinking that nectar, they become such that even the celestial devas in the sky go and worship them with joined hands,

ஆன்மாவைக் கொண்ட உயிர்கள் அனைத்திற்கும் அதிபதியாகிய இறைவனின் திருவருள் நிரம்பும் பாத்திரமாக அந்தப் பிள்ளைகள் ஆகிவிடுகிறார்கள்.

these soul-children becoming vessels brimful of the sacred grace of God, the lord of all souls.

கிரியை வழிமுறையைக் கடைபிடிக்கின்றவர்கள், இந்த உடலுக்குள் இருப்பது இறை சக்தியே என்பதை அறிந்துகொண்டு அதைப் பணிந்து வணங்குகிறார்கள்; எட்டுத் திசைகளிலும்,

Those who follow kiriyai bow to the power of God within this body, knowing that across all eight directions,

இருக்கும் மண்டலங்கள் அனைத்திலும் நிகழும் அனைத்து விதமான செயல்களையும் செய்கின்ற ஒளியாக இருப்பதும் அந்த இறை சக்தியே என்பது கூறப்படுகிறது;

in every region, it is that same power that performs every action, this being declared;

இந்த உலகில் தாம் செய்யவேண்டிய செயல்கள் என்று மனிதர்களால் செய்யப்படும் அனைத்துச் செயல்களையும் இறைவனே செய்கிறான் என்பதை அறிந்துகொண்டு,

and knowing that the tasks human beings perform in this world are performed by God himself,

அனைத்திற்கும் அதிபதியாக இருக்கும் இறைவனுக்கே அவற்றைச் செய்வதாக எண்ணி அன்போடு செய்வதே கிரியை வழியில் செல்லும் பக்தியின் முறைமை.

doing them as service offered to the Lord, with love, is the manner of devotion on the path of kiriyai.

பாடல் #1454-இல் உள்ளபடி பக்தியின் முறையைக் கடைபிடிக்கும் பக்தன், கிரியையையும் சரியையையும் முறைப்படி கற்று, அதைக் கடைபிடிப்பதையே குறிக்கோளாகக் கொண்டு செய்யும்போது,

As in verse 1454, the devotee who learns kiriyai and sariyai properly and practices them as his goal

இறைவனின் தூய்மையான அருளால் யோகம் கிடைக்கப்பெறும்; தமக்குக் கிடைத்த அந்த மேன்மையான யோக வழியைக் குறிக்கோளாகக் கொண்டு குற்றமின்றிச் செய்யும்போது,

attains, by God's pure grace, faultless yoga;

அதன் பயனால் தமக்குள் உண்மை ஞானத்தை உணரலாம்; அவ்வாறு உணர்ந்த உண்மை ஞானத்தின் வழியாக,

and through the true wisdom he comes to realize by following that path,

சித்தம் தெளிவு பெற்று, குருவாக இருக்கும் இறைவனின் அருளால் அவனது சித்தம் சிவமாகவே ஆகிவிடும்.

his mind gains clarity, and by the guru's grace it becomes Siva itself.

இறைவன் மேல் கொண்ட உண்மையான அன்பினால் உருகுபவனும், தினந்தோறும் தாம் செய்யும் அனைத்துச் செயல்களையும் இறைவனுக்காகவே செய்வதாக நினைத்துச் செய்பவனும்,

One who melts with true love for God and serves him daily, thinking every act done for him,

தூய்மையான பசும் பொன்னால் செய்யப்பட்டது போல் பிரகாசிக்கும் திருமேனியையும் செந்தாமரை மலர் போன்ற திருவடிகளையும் கொண்டு தமக்கு முன் நிற்பவர்கள் அனைவரிடத்திலும்,

sees, in the golden radiant form and red-lotus feet borne by all who stand before him,

தமக்குள் இருக்கும் சோதி வடிவான இறைவனையே காண்பவனும், அவர்கள் சொல்கின்ற அனைத்தையும் இறைவன் தமக்குக் கொடுத்த அருளாக எடுத்துக்கொள்பவனும் ஆகிய பக்தன்;

God himself in his form of light, and takes everything they say as grace given to him;

அத்தகைய பக்தனின் எலும்புகளால் மூடியிருக்கும் உடலுக்குள், தங்கம் போல் பிரகாசிக்கும் சோதியாக, அவன் இருக்கும் இடத்திலேயே இறைவன் நிற்கிறான்.

and within such a devotee's bone-covered body, God stands as light bright as gold, in that very place.
