காட்டில் இருக்கும் மரங்களை ஊடுருவிச் சென்று கோடி காத தூரம் நறுமணம் கமழும் சந்தனத்தைப் பூசி வழிபட்டாலும், வானத்தை ஊடுருவும் அளவிற்குப் பெரிய மலர் மாலை சூட்டி வழிபட்டாலும், தான் எனும் எண்ணத்தையும் உடல் சார்ந்த பற்றுக்களையும் நீக்கி இறைவனை உணர்ந்து வழிபடுபவர்களுக்கு மட்டுமல்லாமல், தேனைப் போன்ற பேரின்பம் கொண்டிருப்பதால் வண்டுகள் போல அடியவர்கள் விரும்பி வந்து சரணடையும் மென்மையான பூப் போன்ற இறைவனின் திருவடிகளைச் சென்று சேரும் பெரும் பேறு வேறு யாருக்கும் கிடைக்காது.
Even if one worships by smearing sandal fragrant enough to pass through the forest's trees and spread for a million miles, or by offering flower garlands large enough to reach into the sky, this great fortune of going and reaching God's sacred feet, soft as a flower and, for the honey-like supreme bliss they hold, sought out and taken refuge in by devotees the way bees seek a flower, cannot come to anyone except those who have removed the thought of self and bodily attachments and realized God.
