3. பிண்ட லிங்கம்

இறைவனின் அடையாளமாகிய சிவ இலிங்கமே உயிர்களின் உடம்பின் வடிவமாக இருக்கின்றது.

The Siva lingam which is the mark of God is itself the shape of the body of living beings.

சித் என்னும் சித்தமும், அம் என்னும் ஆகாயமும், அதில் வீற்றிருக்கின்ற பரம் என்னும் பரம்பொருளும் சேர்ந்த சிதம்பரமே உயிர்களின் உடலுக்குள் இருக்கின்ற எண்ணங்களாக இருக்கின்றது.

Chidambaram, which the source reads as chit, the mind, and am, the sky, and param, the supreme being seated there, is itself the thoughts within the body of living beings.

When living beings are born with a body as that temple, the five deities stand there with their own works as the five elements and as the senses, accept the body of living beings as the place through which those senses enter, and stand and grant their grace by that very way.

When living beings give up living by way of the senses and seek God as a child cries seeking its mother, then, just as the mother comes of her own accord to the place where the child is, God too as the lord stands within the body of that devotee.

அடியவரை ஆட்கொண்டு, அடியவரின் உடலையே தாம் வாழுகின்ற இடமாகக் கொண்டு வீற்றிருந்து அருளுவான்.

He takes the devotee for his own, holds the devotee's body itself as the place where he dwells, and remains seated there granting his grace.

அழுக்குகளை மட்டுமே கொண்டு தசைகளால் மூடப்பட்டு இருக்கின்ற உயிர்களின் உடலையே, தாம் வீற்றிருக்கும் கோயிலாக ஆட்கொண்டான் இறைவன்.

God has taken for his own, as the temple in which he sits, the very body of living beings, which holds nothing but impurities and is covered over with flesh.

தமது திருவடிகளால் அந்த உடலில் இருக்கின்ற பத்து விதமான நாடிகளின் இயக்கத்தையே தமக்குச் செய்கின்ற பூசையாக ஏற்றுக் கொண்டான்.

He sits within the body of the devotee who bears it, as the great guru who leads that devotee towards himself.
