உரை · meaning
காளையும் (இடபம்), மானும், மழுவும் (ஆயுதம்) தரித்துத் தானே தோன்றிய இறைவன் அவன். அவனுடைய கற்பனையிலிருந்தே (எண்ணத்திலிருந்தே) இந்த அண்டசராசரங்கள் அனைத்தும் தோன்றின. என்மேல் கொண்ட கருணையினால் உண்மைப் பொருளையும் வழங்கி, அடியவனாகிய என் தலைமேல், தன்னுடைய நன்மை தரும் பொற்பாதங்களையும் வைத்து, ஆகமங்கள் அனைத்தையும் எங்கள் நந்தியாகிய அவன் எங்களின் குருநாதராக இருந்து வழங்கினான்.
He is the self-manifest God who bears the bull, the deer and the mazhu, his battle-axe. All of this universe and everything within it arose from his very thought. Out of the compassion he held for me, he granted me the true reality, and upon this servant's head he placed his own beneficent golden feet, and, our Nandi, standing as our own guru, gave us all the Agamas.
