இறைவனை அடைந்து யான் பெற்ற பேரின்பத்தை, இந்த உலகத்திலுள்ள அனைவரும் பெற வேண்டும் என்று நினைத்தேன். அண்டங்கள் அனைத்திலும் உறைந்து நிற்கும் வேதத்தின் உண்மைப் பொருளைப் பற்றிச் சொல்ல வேண்டும் என்றும் நினைத்தேன். உயிர்களின் உடலோடு கலந்து உயிராக நிற்கும் இறைவனே வேதத்தின் முழுப்பொருள்; அந்த இறைவனை அனைவரும் உள்ளுணர்வு கொண்டு அறியவே திருமந்திரத்தை வழங்கினேன். இதை மனம் விரும்பி நினைத்து நினைத்துத் துதிப்பவர்களுக்கு இறைவனின் திருவருள் தானாகவே வந்தடைந்து, யான் பெற்ற பேரின்பம் கிடைக்கும்.
I thought that this whole world should receive the very same supreme bliss I received by reaching God. I also thought that I should declare the true meaning of the Veda that dwells within every world. God, present mingled with beings' bodies as their very life, is the whole meaning of the Veda; I gave this Thirumantiram so that everyone might come to know that God with inner understanding. For those who hold this in their minds with real desire, dwelling on it and praising it again and again, God's own grace will come to them of itself, and they will attain the very same supreme bliss I received.
