உரை · meaning
இறைவனை அடைய வேண்டும் என்ற ஆசையில் தாமாக முயன்று தவம் செய்யாமல் வாழ்க்கையை வீணே கடத்துபவர்கள் மீண்டும் மீண்டும் பிறவி எடுத்துக்கொண்டே இருக்கிறார்கள். இப்படிப் பிறவியை வீணாக்காமல் இறைவனை உயிர்கள் அடையும் வழிகள் அனைத்தையும், குருநாதராக இருந்து எனக்குப் போதித்த இறைவன், அவற்றை நன்றாகத் தமிழில் வழங்குமாறே என்னை இங்கே அனுப்பி வைத்தான்.
Those who pass their lives idly, without striving on their own to perform the penance needed to reach God, are born again and again without end. So that beings would not waste their birth in this way, God, who taught me all the ways of reaching him while standing as my own guru, sent me here for this very purpose: to set out all of that well, in Tamil.
