உயிர்கள் இறைவனை அடைவதற்காகத் தம் வினைகளை அழிக்கும்போது, அவன் நெருப்பைவிட வெப்பமானவனாக இருக்கிறான். உயிர்கள் அவனை நாடும்போது, தண்ணீரைவிடக் குளிர்ந்தவனாக இருக்கிறான். விருப்பு வெறுப்பின்றி, தன்னலம் அற்ற குழந்தையை விடவும் இறைவன் நல்லவன். காதுகளில் குண்டலம் அணிந்து நீண்ட சடை கொண்ட அவன், தன்னை நாடும் நல்ல அன்பர்களிடம் பெற்ற தாயை விடவும் மிகுந்த அன்பு காட்டுகிறான். இருப்பினும், அவனுடைய திருவருளை முழுமையாக அறிந்தவர் யாருமில்லை.
When burning away the karma of beings so they may reach him, he is hotter than fire. When beings seek him out, he is cooler than water. Without likes or dislikes, he is kinder than a child free of self-interest. Wearing earrings and with his long matted locks, he shows the good devotees who seek him even more love than their own mother. And yet, no one has fully known his sacred grace.
