எமது சீடனாகிய மாலாங்கனே, இந்த உலகத்திற்கு யான் வந்ததின் காரணத்தைக் கேட்டுக்கொள். நீல நிற மேனியைக் கொண்டு இறைவனின் திருமேனியில் சரிபாகமாக இருக்கும் சக்தி தேவியும், ஆதிமூலமாகிய இறைவனும் சேர்ந்து, உயிர்கள் உய்யும் பொருட்டு புரிந்த திருநடனத்தின் தத்துவங்களையும், இறைவனை அடைய வழிவகுக்கும் அரும்பெரும் ஒழுக்கங்களையும் உள்ளடக்கிய வேதத்தை, மற்றவர்களுக்கு எடுத்து உரைக்கவே யான் வந்தேன்.
O Malangan, my own disciple, hear the reason I came to this world. Sakthi Devi, dark blue in form, who stands as the exact half of God's own sacred body, and God, the primal source, together performed the sacred dance for the salvation of all beings, and the philosophy of that dance, together with the rare, great disciplines that open the way to reaching God, this Veda I came only to bring and declare to others.
