இறைவனை அடைய ஆகமங்கள் கூறும் பதினெட்டு நிலைகளையும், அவற்றின் உண்மைப் பொருளையும் உணர்ந்தவர்களே பண்டிதர்கள் ஆவார்கள். இந்தப் பதினெட்டு நிலைகளும், அரன் எனும் பெயரால் அறியப்படுபவனும் உலகங்கள் அனைத்திற்கும் முதல்வனுமான இறைவன் கூறியவையாகும். இறைவன் கூறியவற்றை அவன் கூறியபடியே விளக்குபவர்களே உண்மையான பண்டிதர்கள் ஆவார்கள்.
