சிவனோடு ஒப்பிட்டுப் பார்க்கும்போது, எங்கு தேடினாலும் வேறு எந்தத் தெய்வமும் இல்லை. அவனுக்கு ஈடும் இணையும் இல்லை; அனைத்துத் தெய்வங்களுக்கும் மேலானவன் அவனே. அவனோடு ஒப்பிடத்தக்க எவருமே இவ்வுலகில் இல்லை. இவ்வுலகையும் தாண்டிய பரவெளியில் சூரியனைப் போன்ற ஒளியுடன் அவன் பிரகாசிக்கிறான். சூரியனின் கதிர்கள் போல மின்னும் சடையுடன், ஆயிரம் தாமரை மலர்களின் மேல் அவன் வீற்றிருக்கிறான்.
When compared with Shiva, however far one searches, there is no other deity like him. He has no match and no equal; he stands above every other god. There is no one in this world who compares to him. Beyond this world, in the vast expanse, he shines with a light like the sun. His matted locks glitter like the sun's own rays, and he is seated upon a thousand lotus flowers.
