வானத்திலிருந்து பெய்யும் மழை, வேண்டியவர் வேண்டாதவர் என்று பாராமல் அனைவர் மேலும் பொதுவாகப் பெய்கிறது. அதுபோலவே, இறைவனின் அருளும் வேண்டியவர் வேண்டாதவர் என்றின்றி அனைவருக்கும் கிடைக்கும் என்று எண்ணி, இறைவனை நாடிச் செல்ல சிலர் தயங்குவார்கள். ஆனால், கன்று தன் பசியைத் தாய்ப்பசுவை நோக்கிக் கதறித் தெரிவிப்பதைப் போலவே, குருவாகிய சதாசிவமூர்த்தியை நான் இன்று வேண்டி அழைப்பது, எனது ஞானப் பசியை அவர் தீர்க்க வேண்டும் என்ற வேண்டுதலால்தான்.
The rain that falls from the sky falls equally on everyone, without asking who wants it and who does not. In the same way, some hesitate to seek God out, thinking that his grace will reach everyone regardless, wanted or not. But just as a calf cries out to its mother cow to make its hunger known, I call out today to Sadasivamurthy, my guru, only because I want him to satisfy my hunger for wisdom.
