ஏலக்காயின் மணம் வீசும் ஏழுவிதமான காடுகளை உருவாக்கியவன் இறைவன்; பேரழிவுக் காலத்தில் அவற்றை வெறும் சாம்பல் காடுகளாக மாற்றுபவனும் அவனே. அனைத்தும் அறிந்த பேரறிவாளன் அவன். பிறைச் சந்திரனைத் தன் முடியில் அணிந்திருக்கும் இறைவன், தன்னை நோக்கி உயிர்கள் செய்யும் உண்மையான தவத்தை மெச்சி, அந்த உயிர்களின் உடலையே தான் எழுந்தருளும் திருக்கோயிலாகக் கொள்ளும் மாபெரும் அருளாளன்.
சுகந்த வாசனை வீசும் ஏழு காடுகள் என்பன, உயிர்களின் உடலில் அற்புத சக்தியை அடக்கியிருக்கும் ஏழு சக்கரங்களைக் குறிக்கும்; அவையே முக்திக்கான வழியைத் தரவல்லவை. அச்சக்கரங்களை முறைப்படி தியானத்தால் சக்தியூட்டாமல் விட்டுவிட்டால், உடல் ஒரு நாள் அழிந்து வெறும் சாம்பலாகும் என்பதையே சாம்பல் காடுகள் குறிக்கின்றன. இறைவன் முக்காலமும் அறிந்த பேரறிவாளன் என்பது அவனிடமிருந்து எதுவும் மறைக்க முடியாது என்பதைக் காட்டுகிறது. சந்திரனை விடக் குளிர்ச்சியான அப்பெருங்கருணையாளனை நோக்கி உண்மையான தவம் செய்தால், அந்த உயிரின் உடலே இறைவன் மகிழ்ந்து தங்கும் இடமாகும்; இதுவே முக்தியடையும் வழி.
God is the one who created the seven forests fragrant with cardamom, and it is he who, at the time of great dissolution, turns them into mere ash-covered forests. He is the one of great knowledge who knows everything. Wearing the crescent moon on his crown, God is pleased by the true penance beings direct toward him, and in his great grace, comes to dwell within the very body of that being, as though it were his own temple.
The seven fragrant forests stand for the seven chakras within a being's body, which hold a wondrous power and which alone can offer the way to liberation. If those chakras, powerful as they are, are not properly energised through meditation, the body will one day perish and turn to mere ash, and this is what the ash-covered forests represent. That God knows all three times and that nothing can be hidden from him is what his being called the one of great knowledge points to. And if true penance is performed toward this most compassionate one, cooler than the moon itself, that being's own body becomes the place where God comes gladly to dwell. This is the way to liberation.
