சிவபெருமான் தன் நெற்றிக் கண்ணால் அருள் கொடுத்து நின்றபோது, எண்ணில் அடங்காத தேவர்கள் அழிவில்லாத அமர வாழ்வைப் பெற்றார்கள். ஆனால் மண்ணில் வாழ்பவர்களும் விண்ணில் வாழ்பவர்களும், சிவபெருமானின் அந்த அருளை அறியாமல், அவர் நெற்றிக் கண்ணால் நிறைய பேர் இறந்துவிட்டதாக அறியாமையால் எண்ணிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.
When Sivaperuman stood granting grace through his forehead eye, countless gods received undying, immortal life. But those who live on earth and those who live in the sky, not knowing of that grace of his, mistakenly believe, out of ignorance, that his forehead eye killed many people instead.
