ஆதியிலிருந்து அனைத்திற்கும் ஆரம்பமாக இருக்கின்ற உருத்திரனும், அணிகின்ற மணிகளைப் போன்ற நீல நிறம் படைத்த திருமாலும், படைப்புத் தந்தையாக தாமரை மலரில் வீற்றிருக்கும் பிரம்மனும் ஆகிய இவர்கள் மூவரும் யார் என்று ஆராய்ந்து பார்த்தால், அவர்கள் தமக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்ட தொழில்களில் தனிப்பட்டு நின்றாலும், அவர்களுக்குள் இருந்து இயக்கும் சிவத்தின் தொடர்ச்சியில் ஒன்றுபட்டு இருக்கிறார்கள் என்பதை உணரலாம். இதை அறியாமல் அவர்களின் தொழில்களை வைத்து வேறு வேறாகப் பிரித்து, யார் பெரியவர் யார் சிறியவர் என்று தேவையில்லாத குழப்பத்தில் உலகத்தவர்கள் தமக்குள் சண்டையிட்டு துன்பப்படுகின்றார்கள்.
Rudra, the origin of all things from the beginning, and Thirumal, whose colour is blue like a fine gem, and Brahma, the father of creation seated upon the lotus flower, if one examines who these three truly are, one may realise that although each stands separately in the work assigned to him, they remain one within the unbroken continuity of the Shiva who acts within all of them. Not knowing this, and dividing them apart by their separate works, the people of this world suffer, quarrelling among themselves in the needless confusion of who is greater and who is lesser.
