  இறைவனைப் போற்றித் துதித்து, நறுமணம் மிக்க மலர்களைத் தூவி அருச்சனை செய்து, கை கூப்பி நின்று,

  They praise and extol the Lord, scatter fragrant flowers in archana, and stand with hands joined,

  திருநாமத்தைச் சொல்லிப் பெருங் கூச்சலிட்டு, எமது இறைவனின் திருவருளை வேண்டி அவனுடைய சிவந்த திருவடிகளை வணங்குகின்றார்கள்.

  call his sacred name aloud with a great cry, and, seeking the sacred grace of our Lord, bow to his red sacred feet.

  ஆனால் எமது தலைவனும், முதுமை என்பதே இல்லாதவனும், அனைத்திற்கும் முதலான ஆதியின் வடிவமாக நின்று அருள்கின்றவனும்,

  Yet he who is our chief, the one to whom age never comes, and the very form of the primal source who stands and grants grace before all things,

  பரிசுத்தமான புண்ணியனுமாகிய அந்த இறைவனை, ஆசைகளையும் புலன்களையும் அடக்கி ஒழுக்கத்தைக் கடைபிடித்து எவரும் உணர்ந்து கொள்ளாமல் இருக்கின்றார்கள்.

  that Lord, who is also the pure and holy one, no one realizes, for they do not hold down desire and sense and keep to the discipline.
