  உப்புத் தன்மை கொண்ட குளிர்ந்த நீருள்ள கடலில் ஓசை மிக்க அலைகள் அடங்கியிருப்பது போலவே, ஐம்புலன்களால் வருகின்ற உணர்வுகளை அடக்கி வைத்து,

  Just as the noisy waves lie stilled in the cold salt water of the sea, holding down the sensations that come by the five senses,

  இறைவனைப் பூஜை செய்து வழிபடுகின்ற அடியவர்கள் தாம் பூஜை செய்கின்ற மலர்களின் நறுமணத்தை அறிவார்கள்; அதன் பலனால் மனம் ஒடுங்கி இறைவன் மேல் மட்டுமே எண்ணம் இலயித்து இருக்கும்.

  the devotees who worship the Lord with puja come to know the fragrance of the very flowers they offer; by its working the mind draws in and the thought rests on the Lord alone.

  அந்த நிலையில், எவர் எந்தப் பழி சுமத்தினாலும் பாதிக்கப்படாமல் இறைவன் மட்டுமே கதி என்று வாழுகின்ற அடியவர்கள் மேல் சுமத்தப்பட்ட பழிகள் அனைத்தும் பொய்யாக விழுந்து போகும்.

  In that state, for devotees who live untouched by whatever blame anyone lays on them and hold the Lord as their only refuge, every blame laid upon them falls away as falsehood.

  அப்போது அந்த அடியவர்களுக்குள் இருந்து வெளிப்பட்ட சிவமானது, அண்ட சராசரங்களின் எல்லை வரை பரந்து விரிந்து நிற்கும்.

  And then the Siva that has come forth from within those devotees spreads and stands to the very bounds of all the worlds and of everything moving and unmoving in them.
