  கடல் வெள்ளம் போன்ற நீரைக் கொண்ட கங்கையைத் தமது விரிந்த சடைக்குள் அடக்கி ஒரு சிறு நதியாகத் தருகின்றவன் குருநாதராகிய இறைவன்.

  The Lord who is the guru holds within his spreading matted hair the Ganga whose water is like a flood of sea, and lets it down as one small river.

  அந்த இறைவனைத் தமது பேரன்பினால் உள்ளமாகிய கடலுக்குள் வைக்கும் வல்லமை கொண்ட உண்மை ஞானிகளை நாடிச் சென்று, பூவையும் நீரையும் அர்ப்பணித்து,

  Going in search of the true wise ones who by their own great love have the power to hold that Lord inside the sea that is their heart, and offering flower and water to them,

  மாயையில் சுழலுகின்ற வாழ்க்கையாகிய கடலை விட்டுவிட்டு, இரு கைகளையும் கூப்பித் தொழுது வணங்குவதற்கு மறுக்கின்ற மக்கள்,

  and leaving behind the sea that is a life turning in maya: the people who refuse to do this and to join both hands and bow in worship,

  மேலும் மேலும் கர்மங்களைச் சேர்த்துக் கொண்டே இருக்கின்ற வாழ்க்கைக் கடலுக்குள் மூழ்கி, பலவித துன்பங்களை அனுபவித்துத் தமது வாழ்க்கையைத் தொலைத்து விடுகின்றார்கள்.
