  இறைவன் விதித்த தர்மத்தைக் கடைபிடித்துப் பல புண்ணிய காரியங்களைச் செய்கின்றவர்களுக்கு, வழிபாட்டிற்குத் தேவையான பூவும் நீரும் இறையருளால் எப்போதும் கிடைக்கும்.

  For those who keep to the dharma the Lord laid down and do many meritorious deeds, the flower and the water needed for worship are always given by his grace.

  அனைத்திற்கும் தலைவனாகிய இறைவனை அனைத்து உயிர்களிலும் கண்டு அறிந்து, அந்த உயிர்களின் மேல் கருணை செய்யாமல் நிற்கின்ற,

  But those who do not see and know the Lord who is chief of all in every living being, and do not show compassion to those beings,

  எண்ணிக்கையில்லாத அளவிற்குப் பெரும்பாலான மனிதர்கள், அத்தகைய பாவிகளாகவே இருந்து, எமது இறைவனாகிய சிவபெருமானை,

  countless numbers of people, the greater part of them, remain such sinners and do not come near our Lord, Sivaperuman,

  நெருங்கிச் சென்று அறிந்து கொள்ளாமல், அறியாமையால் விலகிச் சென்று அழிந்து போகின்றார்கள்.

  do not draw close and know him, and through their ignorance move away from him and perish.
