  இறைவனுடைய திருவிளையாடல்களை ஆடியும், அவனுடைய பெருமைகளைப் போற்றிப் பாடியும், அவனுடைய மாபெரும் கருணையை எண்ணி அழுதும், அவன் அருகில் செல்ல முடியவில்லையே என்று புலம்பியும்,

  Dancing the sacred plays of God, singing in praise of his greatness, weeping at the thought of his great compassion, crying out that I could not come near him,

  தமக்குள்ளே தேடியும், இறைவனுடைய மாபெரும் தன்மையைக் கண்டு கொண்டேன்.

  and searching within myself, I came to see the great nature of God.

  அப்படித் தேடிக் கண்டு கொண்ட இறைவனோடு சேருவதை மட்டுமே குறிக்கோளாகக் கொண்டு, வேறு எதிலும் சிந்தனையைச் செலுத்தாமல் இருக்கின்ற வழியை அவன் எமக்குக் கொடுத்து அருளினான்.

  He gave me the way of holding union with the God I had sought and found as my only aim, and of turning my thought to nothing else.

  எம்மோடு கலந்து நின்று, தனது பேரருளை எமக்குக் கொடுத்து, எம்முள்ளிருந்து ஞானமாக வெளிப்பட்டான்.

  Mingling with me and giving me his great grace, he came forth from within me as wisdom.
