The body marked out as the measure for undergoing desires and deeds, and the soul seated within that body, stand joined as one. With them stand the breath, which the Lord has laid out and given according to the span of life, and the life that lives holding that breath as its ground. All of these live in dependence on a body that is wearing away little by little. Within all of them there is a dharma that is the true way, and those who cannot tell it apart from the worldly things that belong to the body, and so cannot know or realize it, are like the ghosts that wander with no way of undergoing their desires: they do not realize that realizing the Lord is the aim of their life, and they wander it away for nothing.

All of these live in dependence on a body that is wearing away little by little; and yet within all of them there is a dharma that is the true way.
