The Lord who took us as his own, by the compassion of his sacred feet, set us who were undergoing worldly life according to our deeds upon the path of keeping the dharma made known by his grace, showed with his sacred hand the sign of grace that is refuge, and took us as his own. After that he accepted as his own the gathering in which these three stand together: our life, the divine power in the form of knowing that is hidden within us as our substance, and our body. He removed entirely the three impurities within us, anavam, kanmam and mayai, and by himself taking back what he had himself given, he took us as his own and stands with us. Even so, he joins with nothing at all, and stands beyond everything.
