  மேல் திசையிலே இறையருளால் வைக்கப்பட்ட, குருவாக வழிகாட்டுகின்ற ஜோதி ஒன்று இருக்கின்றது.

  There is a light, set in the upper direction by the grace of God, which guides as a guru.

  தினமும் தன்னை நினைத்துக்கொண்டே இரு என்று அருளியது அந்தப் பரம்பொருளின் வடிவம்.

  It is the form of that supreme reality which gave the word: think of me every day without ceasing.

  அந்த வடிவம், உச்சந் தலைக்குக் கீழே உள்ள இடத்திலும், வாய்க்கு உள்ளே இருக்கின்ற அண்ணாக்குக்கு மேலே உள்ள இடத்திலும் உள்ள சகஸ்ரதளத்தில் இருக்கின்றது.

  That form stands in the sahasradalam, at the place below the crown of the head and above the palate that is inside the mouth.

  இறையருளால் வைக்கப்பட்ட திருவடிகளாக அது இருக்கின்றது; வாய் திறந்து பேசாமல் மனதை அடக்கி, அந்தத் திருவடிகளின் மேலேயே எண்ணத்தை வைத்திருக்க வேண்டும் என்பதே இப்பாடல் சொல்வது.

  It stands there as the sacred feet placed by the grace of God, and what this verse says is that one should not open the mouth and speak, but hold the mind still and keep the thought upon those sacred feet alone.
