  மாயையாகிய இருள் விலகுகின்ற உயர்ந்த தன்மை கொண்ட உண்மைக் குருவினைத் தேடி அடையாதவர்கள்,

  Those who do not seek out and reach the true guru, who is of that high nature by which the darkness that is maya draws away,

  மாயையாகிய இருள் தம்மைவிட்டு இன்னமும் நீங்காத பொய்யான குருவிடமே சென்று சிக்கிக் கொள்கிறார்கள்.

  go instead to a false guru whom the darkness that is maya has still not left, and there they are caught.

  இது ஒரு குருடனும் இன்னொரு குருடனும் சேர்ந்து, பார்வை இல்லாமல் இருளில் இடம் தெரியாமல் தடுமாறி ஆடுவது போலவே ஆகும்; இறைவனை அடையும் வழி தெரியாமல் அப்படித் தடுமாறுவார்கள்.

  This is just like one blind man and another blind man together, sightless and unable to make out the ground in the dark, stumbling and reeling about; so they stumble, with no knowledge of the way to reach God.

  இந்தக் குருடனும், அவன் உண்மை என்று நம்பிய பொய்யான குருவாகிய குருடனும் சேர்ந்து, பிறவிக் குழியில் மீண்டும் மீண்டும் விழுவதற்கான வழியாகவே அது இருக்கும்.

  This blind man and the blind man who is the false guru he trusted as true will together only fall, again and again, into the pit of birth.
