  கடிவாளம் கட்டாமல் அங்கும் இங்கும் அலைந்து ஓடுகின்ற குதிரையைப் போல அலைகின்ற மனம், கடிவாளத்தைக் கட்டிக் குதிரையை அடக்குவது போல, தியானத்தின் மூலம் உறுதியாகப் பற்றி அடக்கப்பட வேண்டியது.

  The mind wanders here and there like a horse that runs loose with no bridle on it, and it is to be caught firmly and held in check through meditation, in the way a horse is subdued by putting a bridle on it.

  ஞானியைப் போல வெறும் வேடத்தை மட்டும் போட்டுக் கொண்டு என்ன செய்வீர்கள்? இந்த வீணான வேலை வேண்டாம், மனிதர்களே.

  What will you do by merely putting on the garb of a jnani? Leave off this useless labour, O people.

  உங்களுக்குள் வீற்றிருக்கும் குருநாதனாகிய இறைவனை, நமக்கெல்லாம் தலைவனாக இருக்கின்ற அவனை நாடுங்கள்.

  Seek God, the master and guru who is seated within you, and who is the lord of us all.

  அவனைத் தேடி அடைந்தால், பேரின்பப் பொருளாகிய இறைவனைச் சென்று அடைந்து பேரின்பத்தை அடைய முடியும்.

  If you seek him out and reach him, then you can go and reach God, who is the very substance of great bliss, and gain that bliss.
