  இழிவான ஞானத்தைக் கொண்டவர்கள், உண்மை ஞானம் கொண்டவர்கள் போலப் பொய்யாக வேடம் அணிந்தாலும், அதனால் அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு பயனும் இல்லை.

  Those who hold a base knowledge gain nothing at all by it, even if they put on a garb falsely as though they held true wisdom.

  நன்மையான ஞானத்தைப் பெற்றவர்கள் வேடம் அணிந்து கொள்வதை விரும்பாமல், இறைவனின் திருவருள் கிடைப்பதையே விரும்பி இருப்பார்கள்.

  Those who have gained good wisdom do not care to put on any garb, and long instead only for the grace of God to come to them.

  தீமையான ஞானத்தைக் கொண்டவர்கள், தத்தமது சமயங்களின் கொள்கைகளின் மேல் நீங்காத பற்று உள்ளவர்கள் ஆதலால், தங்களுடைய சமயமே பெரியது என்று பேசித் தவறான வழியில் செல்வார்கள்.

  Those who hold an evil knowledge have an attachment to the tenets of their own creeds that never leaves them, and so they speak as though their own creed alone were great and go along a mistaken way.

  அதனால் பிறகு, உண்மை ஞானத்தைத் தாம் கொண்டவர்கள் என்று அவர்களால் பேச முடியாது.

  And because of that they can never afterwards say of themselves that they hold true wisdom.
