  ஆசைகளும், புலன்களும், ஒன்பது வாயில்களின் வழி நடக்கின்ற கர்மங்களும் ஒடுங்கி, இறைவனைப் பற்றிய நினைவிலேயே இருக்கின்ற நிலையைப் பெற்ற உத்தமர்களாகிய தவசிகளுடைய உள்ளம்,

  Desires, the senses and the workings of karma that go by way of the nine gates all subside, and the hearts of the noble ones, the tapasvins, who have attained the state of dwelling only in the thought of God,

  எதற்காகவும் அச்சப்படுவது இல்லை; இறப்பு என்பதும் அவருக்கு இல்லை.

  are afraid of nothing; and death is not for them.

• வரி 3Line 3

  துன்பம் என்பது அவருக்கு இல்லை; இரவு பகல் எனும் கால வேறுபாடுகளும் அவருக்கு இல்லை.

  Sorrow is not for them; and the difference of time between night and day is not for them.

  கடுமையான பசி தாகம் ஆகிய உணர்வுகளும் அவருக்கு இல்லை; இவை எல்லாம் உலக அறிவைக் கற்று அதை விட்டுவிட்டு உண்மை அறிவைப் பற்றி இருக்கின்ற தவசிகளுடைய நிலையாகும்.

  The feelings of fierce hunger and thirst are not for them; all of this is the condition of the tapasvins who have learned the world's knowledge, set it aside and hold to true knowledge.
