  இறைவனுடைய திருவடிகளையே சார்ந்திருக்கின்றவர்கள், அவனுடைய பாதங்கள் இரண்டையும்,

  Those who rest upon the Lord's sacred feet alone take both of his feet,

• வரி 2Line 2

  தமது தலையின் மேல் சேர்ந்திருக்கும்படி வைத்திருக்கின்றார்கள்; ஆதிகாலத்தில் முற்றும் துறந்த முனிவர்கள் இவ்வாறே இருந்தார்கள்.

  and set them upon their own heads; this is how the sages of ancient days, who had renounced everything, stood.

  பழம் பெரும் இறைவனுடைய திருவடிகளிலிருந்து வெள்ளம் போல் அவர்கள் பெற்ற பேரின்ப அருளை, உலக உயிர்களின் பக்குவத்திற்கு ஏற்றபடி படிப்படியாக அனுபவிக்கும் வண்ணம் அவர்கள் கொடுக்கின்றார்கள்.

  The grace of supreme bliss they received like a flood from the sacred feet of the ancient Lord they give out step by step, so that the beings of the world may receive it in the measure each is ripe for.

  இறைவனுடைய திருவடிகளைத் தங்களுடைய தலையில் குடி வைத்து, அதையே சார்ந்திருக்கின்ற வழிமுறையில் ஒன்றாகக் கூடி நிற்கின்ற முனிவர்கள் அனைவருடைய கொள்கையும் இதுவே ஆகும்.

  This is the tenet of every one of the sages who stand joined together in the way of giving the Lord's sacred feet a dwelling upon their heads and resting on them alone.
