  சிலம்புகளை அணிந்துகொண்டு இருக்கும், தாமரை மலர் போன்ற திருவடிகள் என்று உணரப்படுகின்ற நிழலோடு யானும் சேர்ந்திருக்கும்படி இறைவனது திருவருளால் பெற்றேன்.

  By God's sacred grace I have come to be joined with the shade that is realized as his sacred feet, which are like lotus flowers and wear anklets.

  நீண்ட நெடும் அண்ணாமலையாக நின்று, திருமாலாலும் அறிய முடியாத மிகப்பெரும் ஜோதி ஒன்று உண்டு.

  There is a very great flame that stood as the long and lofty Annamalai and which even Thirumal could not know.

  அந்த ஜோதியோடு சேருகின்ற, எமக்குள் இருக்கின்ற ஜோதியின் உள்ளே ஆதித் தலைவனாகிய இறைவன் இருக்கின்றான்.

  Within the light that is within us, the light which joins with that flame, dwells God, the first lord.

  அவனோடு, எமது உடலோடு சேர்ந்த தலைமுடியுடன் எமது உயிரும் சேர்ந்து, அவனோடு கூடி ஒன்றோடு ஒன்றாகச் சேர்ந்திருக்கின்றோம்.

  With him our life, together with the hair that belongs to our body, has joined, and we stand united with him as one with one.
