பாடல் 1590 இல் கூறியபடி இறைவனே குருவாக வந்து தமது திருவடியை எனது உள்ளத்திற்குள் வைத்த பிறகு, பேச்சும் இல்லாமல், உணர்வும் இல்லாமல், உயிரும் பரம்பொருளும் வேறு வேறு எனும் நிலையும் இல்லாமல், நுரையும் அலையும் இல்லாத தெளிவான நீரைப் போல எனது மனமானது தெளிவு பெற்று, சிவமாகவே உறுதியாக ஆகியது. வரம்புகள் இல்லாதவையாக, உலக இயக்கத்திற்குக் காரணமாகிய சக்திகளாக ஆதியிலிருந்தே இருக்கின்ற பஞ்ச பூதங்களில், நிலம், நீர், காற்று, நெருப்பு ஆகிய நான்கையும் கடந்து, ஆகாயத்தில் இருக்கின்ற இறை சொரூபத்தை எனக்குள் இருத்தி, நன்மை தீமை ஆகிய இரண்டு விதமான சொற்களுமே இறந்துபோய்விட, அசைவற்ற சமாதி நிலையில் இருந்தேன் யான்.
After God himself came as the guru and set his sacred foot within my heart, as at verse 1590, with speech gone, with sensation gone, and with the state in which the life and the supreme being are two separate things gone, my mind gained clarity like clear water without foam or wave, and became Sivam itself, firmly. Crossing four among the five elements, earth, water, air and fire, which are boundless and have been from the beginning as the powers that cause the movement of the world, I settled within me the divine form that is in the sky; and with both kinds of words, the good and the evil, dead and gone, I remained in the motionless state of samadhi.
