  அடியவரின் உள்ளிருக்கும் ஜோதியே தெய்வமாக வீற்றிருந்து அனைத்துச் சித்திகளையும் கொடுப்பதும், முக்தியாகிய விடுதலையையும் கொடுப்பதும், உள்ளிருந்து வழிகாட்டி இறைவனை அடைவதற்கான வழியில் செல்ல வைப்பதும்,

  The light within the devotee being seated there as the deity and giving all the siddhis, the giving of the release that is liberation, and the guiding from within that sets him upon the way which reaches God,

  வெளிப்புறத்திலிருந்து அருளாமல் குருவாகத் தமக்கு உள்ளிருந்தே அருளி, மாயையாகிய மயக்கத்தை அறுப்பதும்,

  the cutting away of the bewilderment that is illusion, by grace given as the guru from within him rather than from outside,

  உண்மைப் பொருளாகிய வேதத்தின் எல்லையாகிய ஞானத்தைக் கொடுப்பதும் ஆகிய இவை அனைத்தும்,

  and the giving of the wisdom that is the true substance and the far end of the Veda: all of these,

  இறைவனே சிவகுருவாக அடியவரின் உள்ளுக்குள் இருந்து அருளாமல் போனால், அடியவரால் தாமாகவே எப்போதும் ஆராய்ந்து அறிந்துகொள்ளவோ அல்லது பெற்றுக்கொள்ளவோ முடியாது.

  if God himself does not dwell within the devotee as the Siva-guru and grant them, can never be examined and known by the devotee's own effort, nor obtained by him.
