  பரிசுத்தமான சிவப் பரம்பொருளே குருவாக வந்தது, அனைத்து உயிர்களும் மேல் நிலைக்குச் செல்ல வேண்டும் என்கின்ற மாபெரும் கருணையினால் ஆகும்.

  That the pure supreme being Sivam came as the guru was out of the great compassion that wills every soul to rise to the higher state.

  அவ்வாறு வந்தது, அனைவருக்கும் தந்தையாக இருந்து நன்மையான அருளை வழங்குவதற்காகவே; இதைக் கண்டு உணராதவர்கள் பலர் இருக்கின்றார்கள்.

  He came so in order to stand as father to all and bestow the grace that is good, and there are many who do not see and realize this.

  அவர்கள், தங்களின் பொய்யான எண்ணங்களுக்குத் தகுந்தாற் போல, மூன்றாவது கண்ணைக் கொண்டு எரித்து அழிக்கின்ற இவன் எமனே என்று அறிவின்மையால் கூறுவார்கள்.

  They say, out of unknowing and to suit their own false notions, that he who burns and destroys with the third eye is death itself.

  இதைக் கண்டு உணர்ந்த புண்ணியர்களாகிய அடியவர்களோ, அனைவருக்கும் தந்தையாக இருப்பவன் இவனே என்று, குருவாக வந்த இறைவனின் திருவடிகளைத் தொழுது வணங்குவார்கள்.

  But the devotees of merit who have seen and realized it worship at the sacred feet of God who came as the guru, saying that this is the very one who is father to all.
