  அழகாக அமைக்கப்பட்ட கொன்றை மலர்கள் படர்ந்திருக்கின்ற திருச்சடையைத் தரித்திருக்கின்ற இறைவனின் திருவடிகளையும், அந்தத் திருவடிகளை எப்போதும் நினைக்கின்ற எண்ணங்களையும்,

  The sacred feet of God, who wears the sacred matted hair over which beautifully set kondrai blossoms spread, and the thoughts that always remember those feet,

  தமது நெஞ்சத்தில் தாங்கியிருக்கின்ற மனிதர்கள், இந்த உலகத்திலேயே இறைவனின் திருவடிகளுக்கு இணையானவர்களாக இருப்பார்கள்.

  are borne in the heart by some people; and those people will, in this very world, be the equals of God's sacred feet.

  அவ்வாறு இல்லாமல் இறைவன் வேறு தாம் வேறு என்று நினைத்துக்கொண்டு இறைவனை எப்பொழுதும் நினைக்காமல் இருப்பவர்கள்,

  Those who instead hold that God is one thing and they another, and so do not always remember him,

  தாம் விரும்பிய எதுவும் கிடைக்காமல் ஏக்கத்திலேயே இந்த உலகத்தில் இருந்து, எப்போது இந்தப் பிறவி முடியும் என்று துன்பப்படுவார்கள்.

  will receive nothing at all that they desired, and will remain in this world in that longing, suffering and asking when this birth will end.
