The six kinds of way that help one seek and reach God the Exalted were brought into being precisely to guide those souls who greatly desire both to attain liberation and to become celestials. Yet they remain without the effort of examining and coming to know the inner substance of those six ways, and of realizing it and gaining clarity. And so those who perform outward worship merely for the sake of their desires remain without knowing that everything they themselves desire perishes and everything others desire perishes, and without coming to know the manner in which one does not perish.
