  இறைவனைப் போற்றிப் பாடினாலும், மந்திரங்களைச் செபித்தாலும், பூஜை செய்தாலும், அதிக அளவில் மலர்களைக் கொய்து வந்து சாற்றினாலும்,

  Though they sing God's praise, though they chant mantras, though they perform puja, though they gather flowers in plenty and offer them,

  பாசி படிந்த குளத்தில் விழுந்த கல்லைப் போலவே மனம் மாயையில் மூழ்கி இருக்கின்ற நிலையைப் பார்த்தால்,

  if one looks at the state in which the mind lies sunk in illusion just as a stone lies sunk in a pond covered over with moss,

  மாசு மரு எதுவும் இல்லாத தூய்மையான சோதியாக, நீல நிறக் கழுத்தைக் கொண்டு அனைத்திற்கும் எஜமானராக இருக்கின்ற இறைவனை,

  then the God who is flawless, unblemished light, who bears the blue throat, and who is master of all,

  தங்களின் தூய்மையான அன்பில் வைத்து இருக்கும் எண்ணத்தை அவர்கள் அறியாமல் இருக்கின்றார்கள்.
