  காலையிலும் மாலையிலும் மனதால் வழிபாடு செய்து, அதன் பிறகு அதற்கு ஏற்றபடி உடலாலும் வழிபாடு செய்து,

  Morning and evening I will worship with the mind, and after that, as befits it, worship with the body as well,

  அவனையே சிந்தித்துக்கொண்டே இருப்பேன்; எப்போதும் எமக்கு எஜமானராக இருக்கின்ற ஒருவனும், நினைப்பதை அருளுபவனும் ஆகிய அவனுடைய திருவடிகளை,

  and go on thinking of him; the sacred feet of the one who is ever my master and who grants what is thought of,

  போற்றி வணங்குவேன்; வானவர்களுக்கு எல்லாம் அதிபதியாக இருக்கின்ற இறைவனை நாள்தோறும் வணங்குவேன்.

  these I will praise and bow to; day after day I will bow to the God who is lord of all the celestial ones.

  இவ்வாறு நான் போற்றி வணங்குவது எல்லாமே, இறைவனை எஜமானராகவும் எம்மை அடியவராகவும் பாவிக்கின்ற வழிமுறையின்படியே ஆகும்.

  All this praising and bowing that I do is done according to the discipline of taking God as master and oneself as his servant.
