No one else but those who have gone by the path of yoga and realized within themselves the God who, aeon after aeon, is himself that aeon, destroying everything and creating it anew, can realize him. The yogis who have realized within themselves the God who is that aeon in aeon after aeon, destroying everything and creating it anew, remain themselves untouched by that aeon and cling to God alone. Thirumal, who lies asleep on the milk ocean, and Brahma, who sits enthroned on the lotus growing from Thirumal's navel-cord, these gods too remain untouched by the aeon. However much the aeon strives to destroy them, God stands protecting them from a great height that the aeon cannot destroy.
