  உயிர்களுக்குள் ஆன்மாவாக இறைவன் நிற்கின்ற விதத்தைத் தமக்குள்ளே ஆராய்ந்து அறிந்துகொள்ளுதல், நான் யார் என்று அறிந்துகொள்கின்ற ஆத்ம விசாரமாகிய ஞான பூசையாகும்.

  Researching and knowing within oneself the manner in which God stands as the soul within all living beings is Jnana Puja, the self-inquiry of knowing who "I" am.

  உயிர்களுக்குள் ஒளியாக இருக்கும் இறைவனைத் தமக்குள்ளே தரிசித்தல் மாபெரும் சாதனையாகிய யோக பூசையாகும்.

  Beholding within oneself God, who is light within all living beings, is Yoga Puja, the great sadhana.

  உருவச் சிலைகள் இறை சக்தியைப் பெறும்படி மந்திரங்கள் சொல்லிக் கிரியைகள் செய்து சக்தியூட்டி, அந்தச் சிலைகளுக்கு அபிஷேகமும் ஆராதனையும் செய்வது வெளிப்புற பூசையாகும்.

  Chanting mantras and performing rites so that carved images receive the power of God, empowering them, and performing anointing and worship for those images, is external puja.

  எந்தவிதமான பூசைகளைச் செய்தாலும் அந்தப் பூசைக்கான செயல்களை இறைவன் மேல் கொண்ட பேரன்போடு செய்வது மானசீகமாகிய சிவ பூசையாகும். இந்த நான்கு விதமான பூசைகளுமே சரியை ஆகும்.

  Whatever puja one performs, doing the acts of that puja with supreme love for God is Siva Puja, the puja of the mind. All four of these kinds of puja together are Sariyai.
