  எந்தக் காலத்திலும் மாறாத உண்மையான ஞானத்தைத் தமக்குள்ளே ஆராய்ந்து அறிந்து, அந்த அறிவால் பரம்பொருளை அடையும் மாபெரும் யோகத்தைச் செய்வதும்,

  Researching and knowing within oneself the true knowledge that does not change at any time, and, through that knowledge, performing the great yoga that reaches the Supreme;

  அதன் பயனால் தெளிவாக இறையை உணர்ந்துகொள்ளாத சிந்தனையைத் தெளிவுபடுத்தி சிவம் எனும் பேரன்பாக ஆக்குவதும்,

  clarifying, as a result, the thought that has not clearly realized God, and turning it into the supreme love that is Sivam;

  அதன் பயனால் கிடைப்பதற்கு மிகவும் அரிய பேறாக இருக்கும் அருள் பாவனைகளைப் பெற்று அவற்றைக் கடைப்பிடித்து அருள் வழியே மாறாமல் நிற்பதும் ஆகிய இந்த மூன்றும்,

  and gaining, as a result, the grace-visions that are a most rare attainment, holding to them, and standing unwavering along the path of grace: these three,

  மார்க்க சைவத்தின் ஞான வழியைக் கடைப்பிடிக்கும் சைவர்கள் குறிப்பாக வைத்துச் சாதகம் செய்கின்ற சரியை எனும் முறைக்கு அங்கங்கள் ஆகும்.

  are the limbs of the practice called Sariyai, kept specially in mind and practiced as sadhana by the Saivas who hold to the wisdom-path of Marga Saivam.
