  சாதகர்கள் தேடுகின்ற இறைவனைத் தமக்குள்ளேயே அறிவு வடிவமாக உணர்ந்து, எட்டும் இரண்டும் கூடிய மந்திரத்தைத் தியானித்தால்,

  If practitioners realize, within themselves, the God they seek as the very form of knowledge, and meditate on the mantra formed by the joined eight and two,

  தாம் நாடிய நந்தியை அந்த அறிவினுள்ளேயே வைத்தால், இறைவனே குருவாக நின்று வழிகாட்டுவார்.

  placing the Nandi they seek within that knowledge, God himself will stand as their guru and guide them.

  அவர் வழிகாட்டுதலின்படி, இதுவரை தம்மோடு மாறுபட்டுப் போராடி வந்த ஐந்து புலன்களும் தம் வயப்பட்டுத் துணையாக நிற்கும்.

  Following his guidance, the five senses that had until then struggled against them will come under their control and stand as their aid.

  ஐந்து புலன்களைத் தம் வயப்படுத்தத் தேடிக்கொண்டிருந்த வழியை இவ்வாறு தெளிவாக அறிந்துகொள்ளுங்கள் என்று இப்பாடல் கூறுகிறது.

  Know clearly, this verse declares, the path you have been seeking to bring the five senses under your control.
