  சேவிக்கு மந்திரஞ் செல்லுந் திசைபெற என்பது, முன்பு சொன்ன 'ஹம்சம்' மந்திரத்தை மனதுக்குள் செபித்து, அதன் அதிர்வலைகளை மானசீகமாக அனைத்துத் திசைகளும் அனுப்புவதைச் சொல்லும்.

  One should chant the mantra hamsam spoken of before within the mind, and mentally send its vibrations so that they reach out to all directions.

  ஆவிக்குள் மந்திரம் ஆதார மாவன என்பது, அப்படிச் செய்தால் அந்த மந்திரம் உயிருக்குள் மரத்தின் வேர் போல ஆதாரமாக நிற்பதைச் சொல்லும்.

  Doing so, that mantra stands within one's life like the root of a tree, as a support.

  பூவுக்குள் மந்திரம் போக்கற நோக்கிடின் என்பது, இந்த மந்திரத்தை நெஞ்சத் தாமரைக்குள் பதித்து மனத்தில் சலனம் இன்றி தியானிப்பதைச் சொல்லும்.

  If one sets this mantra within the lotus of the heart and meditates upon it without any wavering of mind,

  ஆவிக்குள் மந்திரம் அங்குசமு மாமே என்பது, உயிருக்குள் இருக்கும் அந்த மந்திரம், மதம் பிடித்த யானையைக் கட்டுப்படுத்தும் அங்குசம் போல, மனதையும் எண்ணங்களையும் கட்டுப்படுத்தி இறைவனை நோக்கி வழிநடத்திச் செல்வதைச் சொல்லும்.

  then that mantra within one's life, like the goad that controls a maddened elephant, will govern the mind and its thoughts and lead one onward toward God.
