  வெளியி லிரேகை யிரேகையி லத்தலை என்பது, இடமிருந்து வலமாக ஒரு நேர் கோடு வரைந்து, அதன் தலையில் ஒரு சுழி வட்டம் வரைவதைச் சொல்லும்.

  If one draws a straight line from left to right and, at its head, draws a coiling circle,

  சுளியில் உகாரமாஞ் சுற்றிய வன்னி என்பது, அந்த வட்டத்தையும் கோட்டையும் இணைக்கும்படி ஒரு வளைந்த கொம்பு வரைந்தால் 'உ' என்னும் எழுத்து வருவதையும், அதைச் சுற்றி அக்னி இருப்பதையும் சொல்லும்.

  joining them with a curving horn, the letter u is formed, and around that letter is fire.

  நெளிதரு கால்கொம்பு நேர்விந்து நாதந் என்பது, இந்த வடிவத்தை மனதுக்குள் வைத்துத் தியானித்தால் விந்தும் நாதமுமாக ஒளியும் ஒலியும் அந்த அக்னியிலிருந்து வெளிப்படுவதை உணரலாம் என்பதைச் சொல்லும்.

  If one holds this shape in the mind and meditates upon it, one can perceive light and sound, the bindu and the nada, issuing forth from that surrounding fire.

  தெளியும் பிரசாதஞ் சிவமந் திரமே என்பது, அந்த ஒளியின் மற்றும் ஒலியின் பொருளை உணர்ந்தால் கிடைக்கும் பிரசாதம் சிவமந்திரமாகும் என்பதைச் சொல்லும்.

  The grace one attains upon realizing the meaning of that light and sound is the Shiva mantra itself.
