As in verse 1122, the Goddess, who held back and took into her care all the karma of the lives that surrender to her completely, spreads as light within their hearts. She herself stands as the true substance, and as the grantor of liberation, for all who have surrendered to her completely. And that same Goddess has held us back and made us her own servants; if one looks upon the Lord as the exact-half consort of that Goddess, then, just like him, she too has no beginning at all.
