உலகத்தையும் அண்டசராசரங்களையும் தாண்டி எல்லைகளின்றிப் பரந்து விரிந்திருக்கும் பேரொளியாகிய இறைவனை, தமக்குள் எழுந்த ஒரு அக்கினிச் சுடராக யான் அறிந்துகொண்டு, அதைத் தேடி அடைந்தேன் என்று இப்பாடல் கூறுகிறது.
God, the vast light who spreads boundlessly beyond the world and beyond the whole cosmos, I came to know as a flame of fire that rose up from within me, and I sought him and reached him, this verse declares.
