  வானத்தில் இருளும் வெளிச்சமும் என இரண்டு இருப்பதைப் போல,

  Just as darkness and light both exist in the sky,

• வரி 2Line 2

  மனத்திலும் அறிவும் அறியாமையும் என இரண்டு தன்மைகள் உள்ளன.

  so too the mind has two natures, knowledge and ignorance.

  மயக்கத்தைத் தரும் அறியாமையும், தெளிவைத் தரும் அறிவும் ஆகிய இரண்டுமே நிலைபெற்று இருக்கும்.

  The bewildering ignorance and the clarifying knowledge, both stand established there.

  பாடல் #1009 இல் உள்ளபடி தமக்குள் வழிபட்டு மாணிக்க ஒளியைக் கண்டவர்கள், தமது அறியாமையை அன்றே அழித்தவர்கள் ஆவார்.

  As in verse 1009, those who worship within themselves and behold the ruby light are the ones who have destroyed their own ignorance that very day.
