மூலத்தில் உள்ள நெருப்பை எழுப்பி, அரிய கதிர் வட்டத்தில் தங்கியிருக்கும் சந்திரக் கலையுடன் சேர்த்து, ஒளிக்கீற்று வளர்ந்து பெருகி ஒரு நட்சத்திரமாகும்படிச் செய்து, ஐம்புலன்களையும் அவற்றின் வழியில் செல்ல விடாமல் தடுத்து, மனத்தை ஒருமுகப்படுத்தி, திங்களும் கதிரும் அங்கியும் ஒன்றுசேரும் இடத்தை அடைவதே யோகம் ஆகும் என்கிறது பாடல்.
Raising the fire at the root, joining it with the moon-kalai that resides in the circle of the rare ray, causing the light to grow and swell into a star, holding back the five senses from following their own paths, focusing the mind, and reaching the place where moon, ray and fire unite together, that, the verse says, is yoga.
