The stars in the sky shine brightly when the moon wanes; when the moon waxes, the stars' light dims in its greater brightness. In the same way, the light that appears below also dims, when it rises and merges, into the greater light above. In yogis who reach that union, the light that then shines is the very form of the God who is the great light that creates everything in the world.
